Hi,

When I try to install Mahara 17.10.3 through cPanel, I get the following error message:
PHP version is less than the required 5.6.0
Do you wish to enable PHP 5.6.31 ? (Might cause issues with your existing installations).

I've tried enabling PHP 5.6.31 (on a different account). The Mahara script installed, but it did not work due to some problem with the json extension. It also broke everything else in my cPanel (which is why I switched to a new account).

Is there some way around this error, or do I need to install Mahara manually?

Thanks for your reply. I've gotten it to work.

The default cPanel theme for a new free x10hosting account only has basic configuration, and I had to change the theme to be able to find the "Change PHP Version" link. Following the link lylex10h posted I was able to update the PHP version and make sure all of the required modules were installed.
