I have emptied the mail queue of all old mail deliveries. Maybe that will solve your problems, but I'm not sure.

No this did not resolve it.

I use Thunderbird and pop so this isn't a big issue for me, but I wanted to let you know didink wasn't the only one with a problem. The mail I send from Thunderbird goes through fine. It's just the webmail from Horde that is getting the error.

I was having the same SMTP problems that some others reported recently, which is why I tried webmail. I thought maybe both problems were related. But smtp seems to be working fine for me now.
