mail() disabled, why?

Can you tell me why my mail is disabled? I get the following error message:

Warning: mail() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/sifaka/public_html/three column fixed wfooter/RI_contact.php on line 353

When did you upgrade to the intermediate version of PHP?

I have had intermediate php for many, many months, maybe more than a year. What can I do to help get my mail up again? (I'm supposed to show this site to my group on Friday.) I have a reCaptcha installed on the contact form. Also email address validation. I intend on validating names and organization input fields and maybe a "honeypot" if the reCaptcha isn't enough security.

Yes, tnl2k7, I confirmed the issue is apparently settled. The reply confirming resolution was appended to my previous reply, so it was not very obvious. Sorry you missed it. I have no idea what was wrong, but it is apparently cleared up.
