Mail using script

I am facing this problem when trying to send a mail:
mail() is currently disabled...

Can someone let me know what has to be done for this?

You need to upgrade your PHP Type to 'Intermediate'. You can do this from the AMP at http://x10hosting.com/login (Use your Forum details to login).
Once your application is accepted it can take between 6-12 hours for the update to take effect.
