alright so I have made a template in photoshop, but I am having troubles coding the HTML. Whats the best way to do this? After making my template, I began to recreate it from scratch in Notepad, but it isn't looking quite right. What do you guys do?

I get some one else to code it. But I know many people code it in Photoshop and then just edit the code.

What you can do is You create the website in photoshop and then save for web. PS will then create a html file with all the images. You can then just open the html in note pad and edit from there or you can get a program like dreamweaver to edit it in. A really good free program like dreamweaver is php designer by mpsoftware.

Also in ps you can change the settings to create css or html among other options if you want help with in please pm me and I would be glad to.

Yes that save for web feature work very nicely to create the page exactly how you designs it.

But before you export it you need to use the slice tool and slice up you creation so it is exported as lots of individual pics as making the whole site one picture will make the page slow to load.

Imageready (comes with PS) has a slice tool. Slice everything up and specify them as tables, images, etc. Unfortunaly the code is quite messy and needs a lot of fixing.

I usually just start with the code and then add the images as I go. That way you can't really mess up on anything.
