I would like to refer to this post previously posted on this error :

"Got a packet bigger than 'max_allowed_packet' bytes"

http://forums.x10hosting.com/free-hosting/38164-help-database-update-script-increase-efficiency.html

I see it was solved by increasing the max_allowed_packets. Is there any way that would work for me as well? I'm uploading a 16mb mySQL backup from another host, and I'm trying to make the move. I need to transfer everything over though in order for this to work. Could this possibly be arranged? My ID is elk77109 and the website is http://warrockhacking.x10hosting.com .

Also, I have a domain as it is. The just want to verify them perhaps before moving further.

ns1.x10hosting.com
ns2.x10hosting.com

Appreciate anything you could do... I've heard the hosting here is swell.

you should be able to upload that via ftp and write a script to inject it into your db with the current settings.

I'm a bit new to this idea...

How exactly would I go about doing that? I understand the upload to the FTP, but write a script where and perhaps what script? Thanks for the help.

I've increased MySQL's max_packet_size on your server to 16 MB. Can you check and let me know if it's working alright for you now?
