mbstring extention issue with drupal

Hi, trying to install drupal, I get the message (see attached snapshot). I'm stuck at the step 3 (set up database).
Is there a workaround or does it mean that drupal is not compliant with free hosting?

Sorry I forgot to attach the error message. Here it is :

Operations on Unicode strings are emulated on a best-effort basis. Install the PHP mbstring extension for improved Unicode support. (Currently using Unicode library Standard PHP)

It is just a warning. I have the same issue right now until they get the PHP issues resolved and recompiled. Drupal still works as long as you are not using things like Chinese characters in posts. Go ahead and finish the install.
