"Metered" disk space.

To whom it may concern,

My account is currently capped to 1024MB and it was advertised that there would be "unmetered" disk space and bandwidth. May I ask for assistance?

New accounts are initially capped at 1024MB. That is to prevent immediate uploads of GBs of illegal or copyright-infringing material, as well as to help with resource planning.

You can request that the cap be lifted when you meet these conditions:
1) Your account must be more than 7 days old, in good standing and have a working website;
2) You must be using more than 50% of your initial space (so > 512MB); and
3) Your site must be in compliance with the Terms of Service and the Acceptable Use Policy.
