This isn't true, considering Jeff Robin (Wikipedia) made the iPod.

well if you read the article
"The documents describe a "portable, pocked-sized multimedia asset player" that can manipulate MP3 music files."

"he and other colleagues at Microsoft developed a paper in the 2001-2002 timeframe discussing Auto DJ, "a system for automatically generating music playlists based on one or more seed songs selected by a user."

all of which is quite similar/related to the ipod

cant wait to see what results of this.. steve jobs deserves whats coming to him

I don't care, as the iPod sucks. I got my ipod mini free and haven't used it in a very long time (no, you can't have it). I just use my 1gb stick for my PSP.

I have a Zen Micro (silver) and it's absolutely better than my friends silver iPod mini.

i agree, the ipod is extremely overrated
its insanely inefficient.. it stores so much music, but it is not even capable of playing all the music because the batteries die in a couple hours.. the songs cost roughly a dollar each; a thousand songs is a thousand dollars, what a gip! also, once the battery is completely dead and unable to recharge you must mail in your ipod with 100 dollars to receive a new ipod. you better have backed up your music because if you didnt you'll have to re-purchase it all

with comparitive shopping the best mp3 player around is the 1 gb sony walkman; its 140 bucks, stores 1 gb, its small because its flash, and uses a normal aaa battery that can last 72 hours. however, the quality of mp3's could still be better.. its why i still stick with a cd player and cds

I still have a CD player too, it's a Sony Walkman. Excellent battery life, I haven't replaced the batteries in two months and it's about half full. I listen to it every night for about an hour to go to sleep.

yeah i still think cd players are still quite useful
they have the best music quality!
i have a sony psyc.. its lasted forever for me.. ive only changed the batteries once! no skip, great settings to choose from, its very nice! sony products may be pricey but they do perform very well..
