That being said, do you actually have the rights to redistribute the script, or is this more of a license transfer, which actually costs $15 to do per their own TOS.

Seems to imply you can't actually redistribute the software.

Covers needing to pay $15 to get the license transferred; doesn't say anything about removing the copyright (which I can see is available to be done via them, however removing the copyright doesn't mean reseller rights just got granted either).

I guess it depends on the definition of "copying". One could argue that if he is deleting it from his computer at the same time as passing it on to someone else, there is still only 1 instance of the script being used.

And if he is also transferring ownership of the website to which it is licensed, it might be argued that the script's license hasn't been transferred because it is still under the control of bustedmp3.com. (which, I note, expires in about 2 weeks!)

So it's a tricky one, & I would imagine that the original sellers would argue that you mustn't do this - because they want to make more money! But personally I think if you have paid for it, it should be yours to do with as you want - certainly, at least, within the scope of what we have just discussed. After all, if you buy a music CD, you are entitled to sell it to someone else when you have no more need for it yourself.

That said, the purpose of the script seems a bit dodgy. I know that it only provides free access for people to music they could find on sites with other search engines ie. it doesn't host the music, it just provides Search. But it still might attract lawsuits. PirateBay didn't host the music, & they got sued & lost. There's obviously a difference, but it still looks a little ropey to me!

NO ITS NOT AGAINST there tos im not redestributing the script or selling ilegal copy of it ok as long as you have the licence everything is fine u can check there forum iswell lots of guy in there selling there website

i think you got it wrong this script does not host any kind of ilegal mp3 it searches it from sources lik esnipt.com etc and i didnt tell any that you can host it at x10 im just selling my website

I know you didn't mention hosting it on x10, but I was just making it clear in case people wanted to host this script on x10, and it would be against the TOS because it links to copyrighted material.

The issue I see is the license transfer costs $15 to do per their own TOS, so I'm confused all of a sudden. I'm not able to buy it, but I'm obviously wary about recommending it until we get that part of it straightened out.

Glad I got straightened out on the script redistribution part though, now it's just a matter of the license and the supposed $15 fee to transfer it.

ok i have done my own diging and found out there is a $15 licence transfer fee
