Microsoft has made available the first beta build of the new MSN Messenger 7.5 instant-messaging client to its beta testers. Invitations were sent out a few days ago to beta testers notifying them of the start of the beta. Those who are in the beta can get Build 160 from http://connect.microsoft.com
MSN Messenger 7.5 is expected to be final within the next 2 months but there has been no mention from Microsoft as to what changes will be made. Microsoft told testers that the beta would last for only 5 weeks.
New features are a bit sketchy at the moment, but notably there is a redesigned login screen, as well as integration with the new Passport. MSN Messenger 7.5 also includes a new Connection Status and Connection TroubleShooter in its Options tab.
