MSQL database transfer

I am what you would call a newbie to PHP, and are still get my head around the usage of MSQL datbases.
Anyway I have another free hosting account and have recently moved over here to x10hosting. Am I able to move a backed up MSQL database from that server to this one?
If so am I able to can I do it through FTP transfer or would it have to be done though the cpanel?

You would need to do it in the cPanel. Make the Database, and user. Then go to phpmyadmin and import the data.
