MX lookup doesn't show any mx records.

Hello,
People last told me, that they weren't able to sent me any emails.
So I took a look at my mx records in cpanel. Everything seems fine there.
But when I do a mx lookup, no mx records show up.
The mx record from my domain points to an external server.
Is there anything wrong with the name server for providing mx records?
