I have an experience to share with you guys.

Me and my cousin went to UK to visit my father coz he works there.
When I was about to call my mother I realize that the sim provider of my phone cannot be used in other country,I thought that my cousin also have the same problem, but to my surprise, she said that she already unlocked her phone before we went to UK.I got mad at her because she didn't told me about it.So she told me that she find a solution,we just have to search the net for an unlocking phone websites. So we searched the net for that, then we found this website http://www.official-unlock-mobile.com/. It really helps me a lot,coz without the website, maybe I could not use my phone in UK when I was there.
If you need more details, just send me a message, maybe I can also help you

Thanks for reading guys!

Well, while this may seem to be a spam topic, I can start a little discussion about this. The problem with wireless carriers these days is that they cannot agree on a universal technology to use, and they cannot agree on giving you a locked down phone. Take a couple of the US providers, most notably Verizon Wireless, and the Apple iPhone. Verizon is well know for installing their crap BREW software onto the phone, and gosh is that limiting. Apple's iPhone is limited down by what AT&T and Apple decide to give, but once jail broken the iPhone is a very powerful and capable device. Now with the limited spectrum, apparently since providers like charging an arm and a leg out of one another and their customers, the SIMs as well as the phone software tend to be locked to a provider's network and the provider's roaming agreements.
