My first avatar

Well I finally made my very first avatar! You can see it to the left

Im still in the early learning stages so It's not as good as many other ones I have seen. Im up for suggestions on how to improve Also does anyone know of any good tutorial sites for photoshop?

Change the font on there, perhaps make it a tad bit smaller, use a nicer font like "Myriad" or "Tahoma" or "Verdana" and fiddle around with overlay (photoshop) and the colour settings. That normally looks pretty good .
