My forum isn't working -.-

Hello,
I have recently changed the domain url of my forum on the stoli server yesterday and now niether the old url nor the new one work. Anyone know what's going on?

Sometimes the system take 12-24 hrs to update all the configuration files for domain changes. While that is happening, you get the light blue 'defaultwebpage.cgi' .
Remember to clear your browser cache and history before checking the new domain.
If it is still showing the default page tomorrow, post back and we can get a Staff to manually fix it.

I still get a pag saying website does not exist for both of them. Kind of darkish blue. My old url is http://www.insertnamehere.exofire.net and my new one is http://www.hkcforums.exofire.net

Well, you gave up insertnamehere. That will show the dark blue 'Website not Found'

If you clear your browser cache and history you should see a pale blue "If you feel you have reached this page in error, please contact the web site owner:" page for your current domain which will be there until the system completely updates.

Ok I saw that page you are talking about for the new url. It has been about a day or so since I updated the url and yet it hasn't changed.

The http://hkcforums.exofire.net/ URL is loading fine for me, although it looks like you may have to update your forums base URL to tell it to reference the correct image and CSS files. If you still can't see it, try clearing your browsers cache or try an alternative browser.

Loads but everything is meesed up. My theme is misiing just plain text on a white background... Also every time I try to log in it says the web page doesn't exist...

Its missing the CSS.

Looking at your source code, all URLs are using http://insertnamehere.exofire.net. You need to login to your admin control panel for the forum and change the site URL to your new one.

An easy way to do this is to download and run the Repair Settings tool from SMF: http://download.simplemachines.org/?tools

Download it here: http://download.simplemachines.org/index.php?thanks;filename=repair_settings.php
Upload to your forum directory and then visit the URL. This tool will fix all the URLs for you.

Use the recommended settings for all the paths and URLs and save the settings. Delete repair_settings.php when you're done.

Then, go to SMF Admin area and Admin -> Themes and Layout -> Themes and Settings

Scroll down to the "Reset Theme URLs and Directories" section. Verify that the information listed there is correct, and click on "Attempt to reset all themes". This will fix the paths and URLs for the rest of your themes (repair_settings.php will only fix it for the "default" theme).

Ok I manually changed the base url and I once again get that light blue page.
