my site is refusing connections to mysql?

says that it could not connect to the database if the database even exists. now when i type in my site it takes me to a search page as if my site is nonexistent. whats goin on? is my site gone now?

The site works for me, I do see the database error. That generally means there is a problem with the config file that stores your database settings, or the database and user were not setup correctly.
