My sql error: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket

Hi,

Im getting this error on my site:

Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

Does anyone else have this issue or any idea how to fix it ?

Hi, I found a couple of old threads with similar issues.

One of the solutions was to change localhost in the mysql connection to mysql-stoli.x10hosting.com

Im on starka so I tried "mysql-starka.x10hosting.com" and "mysql-stoli.x10hosting.com" but both of these give the error:

Lost connection to MySQL server at 'reading initial communication packet', system error: 111

Site has been working fine up to now, with no recent changes.

Hi - is anyone else still experiencing mysql problems or am I the only one ?
