The account was terminated on 09/01/08 at 8:21 pm for "Suspended for extended period of time, terminated automatically."
Does that mean all data has been deleted? And shouldn't x10hosting have sent me a warning before terminating my account?
What if the x10hosting server was down on the deadline day after-which my account would be terminated? And what if I was on holiday or something and COULD NOT LOG IN? Did x10hosting not think about those customers who 'forget' to log in every so often and send them an email to warn them? This is usually done for all free services, such as [Removed] or [Removed] who offer a large amount of on-line disk space; so there really is no such excuse like "that's why it's free".
It should also be, infact, be mentioned while signing up that you need to log in otherwise the account will be
suspended with no warning.
X10hosting, in order to excel in it's industry, should consider different circumstances more carefully.
7. Inactivity
Accounts found to be inactive are suspended for a 10 day period and then terminated. All data including any type of backup or stored information is removed with the account. To prevent an account from being suspended for inactivity it is required users visit the x10Hosting forums located at
http://forums.x10hosting.com at least ONCE every TWO WEEKS. Accounts must also have a working website within one week of account creation. If you don't use your webspace we will give it to someone who will.
Don't say I can't read. But this should be noted more clearly during registration.
Hopefully my case will not be repeated. If there are any backups of my files, please send them to me as soon as possible
Thanks for your cooperation,
MYNI
