Mybb installation problems.

Hello,this is my first time i have use this host,and i have a problem installing Mybb forum
I have make a Database ( red942_forum) and i have ad it to a Database User ( red942_user) with pass (xxxxxx).

When i was installing the forum i fill out the boxs with this info:

Database Engine: SQL Improved
Database Server Hostname: localhost
Database Username: red942_user
Database Password: xxxxxx
Database Name: red942_forum
Table Prefix: mybb_
Table Encoding: UTF-8Unicode

And then i have this ERROR :

There seems to be one or more errors with the database configuration information that you supplied:

• Could not connect to the database server at 'localhost' with the supplied username and password. Are you sure the hostname and user details are correct?

Once the above are corrected, continue with the installation.




If someone have install the Mybb forum on this host please help me.

Check this
MySQL Database : cpanelusername_dbname
MySQL DB User : cpanelusername_mysqlsuer
MySQL DB Host : localhost
MySQL DB Password : ********


So use Cpanel username.I think thats your mistake.

I did, red942 is my Cpanel Username
Like i said before i made a database name called (red942_forum)
Red942 is the Cpanel Username, forum is the database name.
For the DB user it was the same.
