MySQL error message

i can see from the forum that there has been a few problems with the mysql today

i too have recieved an error message and wuld be trully great full if anyone can tell me what the problem is? error message belew

Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (111)

just thought i would post the error up in case it wasnt related to the other problems?

No, this error is related to the other problems, with MySQL not being able to connect to the database. Admin are aware of the issue, and are working on it.
What is your site, and I will reply back again when it's fixed?

its the guestbook page thats having problems

You're on the stoli server, so I can confirm that MySQL is the problem.

As far as I'm aware, it went down yesterday sometime-I don't know if it got fixed again, as I'm in the UK and needed to sleep .
