I am facin prob while connectin to mysql... actually i created a visual basic program to add data... i use ODBC 3.51...
i think theres a prob wid mysql.. its status is red.... help me...

Are you using mysql.x10hosting.com as your MySQL server location?

In the past, localhost was what you needed to use. With the new updates, you need to go into your scripts and find where mysql is making a connection (mysql_connect or mysqli_connect). Replace localhost with mysql.x10hosting.com and you should be good to go

The reason it's red in the management panel is because they (x10) haven't updated that particular screen to check the right host - mysql.x10hosting.com. It's still checking localhost, and since it's not running on localhost, it says it's down, when in truth it probably isn't.

any way i think now external servers are not able to connect to mysql server (mysql.x10hosting)...
is that a part of u r policy or its because of some error????

They do not allow remote outside connections. They are running a web hosting company, not a mysql hosting company. Please use it for what it's intended for.
