Need Help Installing mods in SMF(for inserting ads)

I cant seem to install mods in my SMF site. I need the ad management mod so I can insert the ads in my pages. I need help.

i had the same problems u need 2 change the permission of files 2 755 or 777 then it will work tell me if this didnt work

What error are you getting...?
Try changing permissions to 755. 777 won't work.

SMF would just ask for my FTP info to chmod files when i tried to install a mod. After entering the FTP info and trying to proceed with the mod installation, it would just ask again for the FTP info.

Which file or folder specifically do I have to chmod to 755?
I have already chmod to 777 the required files and folders before installing SMF.

I'm not really familiar with this and since it's a 3rd party script we don't officially support it. You might want to try seeking the help of the script creator.
