If you are talking about domain and not account, yes you can.
You can
1. Park a domain, say mygreatideas.com , on your main domain, so that they share content and are essentially the same site
2. Add a domain as an 'add on', which puts the content in a subdirectory of public_html and is usually a completely separate site from your main domain.
