new PHP issue with wordpress

well i have here seen someone saying that all the PHP v2 wordpress error have been removed. But i am geeting the following error while trying to update permalink structure there

phpinfo() has been disabled for security reasons

this was not disabled before!! than why now in v2 of PHP
Edit:
i have tried to comment the phpinfo funvtion in function.php file of wordpress. but then also i cant change my permalink structure. plz re-enable this func in v2

What were you trying to do when this error occurred? Was it because of a plugin?

well, its not a plugin. Its one of the in built settings in wordpress. there we can change the structure of our permalink for the blog.
i dont know for how long this is not working because i last checked this setting a month ago.
