For winamp i added a small plugin that will post the Artist, Song title, and playing status to my site's write.php which will write them on 3 separate lines.
On the image file its basically just PHP and gd First 3-4 lines are calling the data from the text archive then a few if's to check artist length, title length and song status. If i were to stop the song the first part 'Now Playing' would change to 'Last Played' Then to show images on forum just used mod rewrite.
