I am new to this forum and wasn't sure where else to post this ... and thought "Off-Topic" may just be the place.

I have a question about these "points" things I have read about in the forum ( Mostly in the MarketPlace ) ...

How does one get these "Points"?


How do you use them to purchase something ( Like if I wanted to ask someone to help me design a website / install or modify a message forum / etc )?

I think that was about it.

Well, you get points for posting a message in any part of the forum except for the Introductions; you earn 3 points for a new post and you get an additional amount of points per character typed. Creating a new thread creates 5 points. Basically, you can use these points to purchase things in the market place via the donate ability in the Shop Menu. Additionally, points may also be used in the shop to purchase forum "goodies", i.e. changing name color, style, etc.

The newest thing that is point related is x10cash; you can convert points to x10cash and use x10cash to get domains, etc. For more information regarding x10cash read this thread: http://forums.x10hosting.com/showthread.php?t=17381

To help aid in earning x10cash, we have developed an 'offers' system, where you complete surveys and we give you a certain amount of x10cash for each survey you complete. We're still working on a system to automate x10cash payments

Lol you're welcome; lately though things have been running rather slowly. A portion of our staff is away on vacation, we're working out issues with bypass codes, responding to requests for issues regarding databases etc from the last server move, and developing the rewards system
