Newbie can't get HTML-embedded PHP to run

Hi all,

I just uploaded a simple HTML-based site with some PHP embedded scripts. The index.html fires up fine but the php snippets in there do nothing. Also, no error messages. When I created a test html with a php echo statement in it, that won't display anything either, just a totally blank page. I tried to play around with various settings in .htaccess with no success. My site is coolshop.x10.mx.

What am I missing here? Can anyone point me in the right direction or just say out what's wrong?

Please go easy on me if I missed something obvious. It is a totally working site, it just has been sitting dormant inside an archive for a while.

Just an update, my own.

When I rename the starting page index.html to index.php, the php scripts embedded in it run and for this one page, everything looks fine. However, all links from the first page still display incorrectly because they are HTML. I can't really rename everything.

How do you force all the parsing on x10hosting as php, rather than html? Anybody?
