As a newbie here who has just registered for a free webhosting account, I'd like to provide some feedback to x10Hosting on my experiences here so far.
Signing up was not a smooth process. It took quite a few attempts to even submit my registration. I kept getting 503 errors (Service Unavailable; server busy, try again later). Then, after finally managing to submit it and receiving confirmation that it was accepted, I was put into a registration-pending queue for about 18 hours, before finally receiving an email notification the following day that my hosting account had been successfully created.
This kind of introductory experience does not exactly engender in new customers great confidence in the reliability of your system. Admittedly, this is only a first impression, but the impression conveyed by this experience is that your servers are either unable to cope with the demand upon them or they are prone to long outages.
However, that is not my main point. The main element of feedback I would like to offer is this: During the first few hours after I was put into that registration-pending queue, I kept that webpage open and continually went back to it, refreshing the page each time, to see if there had been any change to that status. It would have been more helpful if the message on that page included the information that I would be notified by email when the account had been created. I had not anticipated that that would occur, but if I had known it would happen, it would have been a lot more convenient.
Even if you can't avoid those long queues for the time being, you can at least add that piece of information in the meantime. It would give people waiting in the queue more peace of mind. I hope you will take this as positive criticism.
