hi there,

i have just signed up.

i have made my HTML site in dreamweaver. i don't know how to upload my files on the server.

I am very new to all this.

Any help will be really appreciated.

i used the file zilla there all supplyed by the cpanel but you can also just the file manger one by one but all the info you need is already on the cpanel:drool:

You can upload them through the file manager in cpanel like warlordste said. Or you can upload them using FTP. There are a lot of free and good ftp programs out there. Have you tried setting up the upload settings in dreamweaver to upload the files directly from dream weaver? I used this a lot when I was creating my sites in dream weaver. I stopped after Adobe took it over.

i should have actually just checked forums before for similar questions. anyway i am doing that now.

wh00p101- why don't you use dreamweaver anymore and what do you use now?

is there something better and easier to use than this?

I don't use it anymore because Adobe now own it and i don't particularly like adobe's way of running things. Although I do sitll have a 2004 version of dreamweaver from when macromedia still owned it. I haven't used anything in a long time, but last time I did anything I used crimson. It's got syntax highlighting whish is always helpful.

Amit, what forums were helpful to you? I'm using dream weaver too and I'm having the same difficulty. I tried going to the cpanel webpage, but it would load... could this all be because of a restriction on the network I'm on? I'm at a university's network.

when u in your cpanel go to the ftp and use it that way because u can uload a folder instead of files one by one

Try using CuteFTP , i find it the easiest FTP program to use and quite reliable too.

For dreamweaver the setting you will need are:
Host: ftp.YOURSUBDOMAINHERE
Username: cPanel username
Password: cPanel password
Folder
/public_html/
