Currently, the administration has new account creations turned off while they redo the backend and try and get things running in tip top shape.
The staff ( at least myself ) am not aware of any time frame when this will be completed, but be sure that the admin are working hard to finish it up and reactivate the new accounts.
You do not need to do anything further. The account you signed up for is sitting in a quene and will be created in the order it was received when the admin active the new account creation script.
