no website showing

Hi, i have created a site using joomla, it is in my publc_html in a folder called joomla, when I try to go to my site, I get a page that says

INDEX OF

• cgi-bin/
• images/
• joomla/
• postinfo.html
• print.css
• wendytay/

Can anyone tell me what I have done wrong?

You should install the joomla at the directory "/" if you want to view it at the main domain.

This is a stupid question, but what and where is "/"

"/" is /home/{your_username}/public_html/

Do you mean all the files in the joomla folder should be in public_html, not in a folder which is in public_html

Yes, you should try to upload all the files to public_html instead of a folder and try installing again.
