not able to edit almost all of my html files using the file manager

Hi,
I get the following error message, or one very similar, for every page I try to open from my file manager;
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /tmp/cpanel_phpengine.1311966898.18318qf_xbE2dRu on line 334
please advise.
