I was wondering if there's a way to set a php file as the default page for a site, so that I can delete my page's html file and -not- have my site only a file list.

Or, at least, how to redirect the file list to the php file, because I'm converting my site to php.

For some reason, the C Panel's redirecting option doesn't seem to do anything when I try to have the main directory redirect to the php file.

If all you want is your main page to be a php file, just call it "index.php" and make sure there is no "index.html", (rename the existing index.html to index1.html before deleting it)... No need to do a redirect for this case if I understand your problem correctly.
