I have been searching for a number of functionally specific scripts lately. My interest was mainly community scripts. There are a number of them out there. Some overly functional and others barely on their feet. I came across names like phpFOX, Boonex, Abledating, Dzoics, Skadate, Datecomm e.t.c

Amazingly, most of these scripts are already hacked and distributed gratis over the web!! It is illegal...plus I am certain the developers find it hard to swallow a pill that bitter but, if you are that good, why do you develop a script that easy to hack...plus offer trial downloads?

Why do they set prices of up to 800$ ? for 4MB of script?

When it comes to 2nd and 3rd worl nations, not so many people can afford to pay that much. I am talking eastern europeans and asians mostly.

So...if you need scripts (for practice), try *Edited Out*.

After, you can tell me, nulled gud? nulled not so gud? nulled really bad?

Nulled is not so good because like what you said some of them are already hacked. If you still use it, you might try upgrading to the newer ones which is secure, Although some of them still has bugs.

What script costs that? Most are the low hundreds, and thats due to the amount of people that worked on the project, overhead costs, and continued production for future releases. Anything that amount would be for "Enterprise" or business software.

Of course they are bad. Companies give out trial software, so you can TRY it. If you like it, they hope you will pay for it to help them continue the software.

4mb is equivalent to 4,194,304 characters worth of typing, bug fixes, recoding, etc. done by a large group of people over a long period of time. You expect them to put their hard work and time into such a big project and just hand it out to whoever the heck wants a copy? That's like people making music, video games, etc. all for free.

if you are that good, why do you develop a script that easy to hack
Because there is no absolute way to make and distribute scripts without a chance of it getting hacked. Even if the code is encrypted, no matter how strong it is, it has to be decrypted so it can be parsed. Developers' only hope is to encrypt it in a way no one has hacked yet.

plus offer trial downloads?
For marketting. Some people want to try before they spend money for something instead of blindly buying something, knowing nothing of wether or not they will like it or not. Also, if the company doesn't accept refunds, they have a chance of not liking the product and end up wasting money.

After, you can tell me, nulled gud? nulled not so gud? nulled really bad?
Bad, very bad. Using nulled scripts is the same as stealing.

nulls are good.

because trial version does not come with all features.
so, we get a nulled full, and try it for real.

i've downloaded a software once that i used trial and hated it, but when i used the nulled to check all features, i bought it because was really nice.

so nulled are good? yes.

Problem is the sheer percentage of users who use nulled software, and don't give a rats ass about the legit versions of it.

I'll be brutally frank - I'm one of those people for the majority of my software. XP? Costs too much unless I go through my college, which I did and got my legal copy. Used XP as a "questionably legal" one for 3 years cause it was a copy of a student copy that didn't need activating.

Photoshop's sitting on here cause I can't afford it.

Civ 4 and it's expansions recently got replaced by legit versions, although I'm leaving the nulled ones installed (dun care about online play, and I dun wanna reinstall it all).

See, thats the only reason I really see nulled software as bad - too many people don't use it as a "lets see if the full version is decent, or if it's buggy as hell" and use it instead as a "oh look, free softwarez".

Off topic: I think I just unintentionally discovered where the term warez came from - softwares spelled with a z at the end instead. Huh.

To be honest, it depends on the author.

Adobe makes millions of dollars a year on their $300 software, so really, the not-so-legal version of Flash I own isn't going to make Adobe starve.

If it's some random software company out of absolutely nowhere that's just trying to sell software to get off of their feet and make it big, I'll try the illegal version first and if I like it I'll buy it.

Likewise, vBulletin has hundreds of thousands of customers, and they won't really starve either if a few people use nulled versions.

Half of my computer is illegal, the other half I actually shelled out money for because they're a minor company.

Everything on my computer is legal. I use mainly open source software like OpenOffice instead of Microsoft Office (does everything I need, and it even has compatibility for the Office XP 2002 installs at my school), and my gasmes, I usually download the demos, no matter how big they are and play them for a bit to see what the gameplay is like, how high the FPS is at the max settings (Crysis was above 30FPS for me), and then if I like the game and it runs well, I'll buy it off of the internet, then download it from the site I bought it from, or I'll get a CD copy. Most of the games I have are on Steam, so I can easilly recover my games if I ever reinstalled. My other games, I can recover those too pretty easy.

So yeah, when it comes down to nulled stuff, I'm a no-go.

for me, nulled software is kind of hard to trust in a way. I mean you don't know what other script is implemented into it. It might be a backdoor kind of script.

Well it takes a lot of work to make a fully functiong script and to test it too.

They dont "hack" the script they remove all copyright features that are in the script. And with it being a on the fly ocmpile its easier to do than to crack an application

Nulled scripts are illegal, it's the same thing as music files or movies.
Take VB boards for example you can easily find a hacked version but most free hosting providers wont allow it bcoz this kind of scripts is CPU hungry.
you can always find similar scripts for free i mean open source like phpbb or Snews...
about the price of these scripts i think if the company is making a lot of money from selling it that doesn't give you the right to steal their work.
