Of Horizontal Scroll Bars and Syntax Errors...

How do I get rid of them on a website purely created by HTML? How do I detect other errors in HTML scripts? Is there a software for that or something?

You could use the HTML validator to check your HTML http://validator.w3.org/

As for the horizontal scrollbars, make your website thinner.

I tried the HTML validator but it does not seem to tell me about syntax errors... Also, I cannot find the position "Line 2, Char 1"... Cos' the validator uses Columns... Do they mean the same thing?
