Opening an image on the "same" page

I am creating a website in Dreamweaver. I have created text and want to be able to click on that text to open an image on the same page. However, everything I try forces the image to open on a new blank page (not a new tab). I simply want the image to pop-up on the same page...how can I do this? If you want to look at what I am referring to go to www.joniharms.com/tour.html and scroll down to the "Albuquerque Concert" and click on details. I want that image to open on the tour page. Thanks for your assistance.
