We just finished MCAS (Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System, our state's standardized testing), which means pretty much the end of school is here, but I have 14.5 days left officially... not much is going on though, just finals and such.

I'll spend most of my summer working but it won't be as bad as it sounds...

Bryon... what's wrong with the Regents? They're too easy (okay, all right, maybe Chem, Physics and Math B may be harder than the others)

I'm a high school senior this year and I think we have about 7 days left until graduation (I'm not counting Regents Days and other uneventful days). I've asked our class president and the valedictorian to keep the graduation speeches short. My reasoning: 90 degrees outside, 110 degrees inside the un-air conditioned Brooklyn Tech auditorium, 120 degrees with cap and gown and 180 degrees with the crowd around you. Class president said "no" and I'm sure that the valedictorian will probably make it long while she's concurring to my rationale, just to spite me.

I won't really have a true "summer vacation," as I'm in the Teacher's Academy program at Hunter College (though I'm not sure if I'll be in that program for all four years, I'll certainly give it a try) and classes start in the summer :p! If I can help if, I plan to get a part-time job to try and defray the transit costs and possibly get something for myself without feeling too guilty. During spare time, I may go around the city, see my friends before they leave to their colleges.

Wow... I've been out for 3 weeks now. I guess it's cause I'm in college and it seems like I pay to NOT be in school... Oh well. I'm makin' some money while I'm home, working as a computer consultant.

Haha, nothing is really wrong with the regents. I <3 Math B. :)

The only thing I don't like is having to get up at 7 am, take session one of the English regents, then take the Math B regents, both the same day. :(

It shouldn't be that bad though.. I just don't like having to sit around for hours writing and what not.

What regents do you have to take? I take it your graduating.. I only need to take the English 11 and Math B regents this semester.. :-\

I have no regents to take this year! I finished all my regents requirements last year. Math B and Chem were the only subjects I've got less than an 85. Everything else was an easy 85+ :hsdance:
