In the middle of the move to boru form fris, Anna changed my password for my hosting account (cpanel). Now that the account system shows that I am fully on boru, I tried to change password. As I understand it, that will change all three passwords - forum, account and hosting. However, the hosting account password change still shows pending. How long does that take?

My hosting account is clairev

There are only 2. The AMP logs you with either your cPanel account or your forum account, which ever is available. You will be able to reset your password through the Account Management Panel once the backend is synced with WHM. This will happen over the next 24 hours. Until then, you may open another support thread if another problem arises.
