Photos on round the world honeymoon

Hey folks.

I'm planning on uploading my round the world trip photos for dual purposes and wanted to check that it doesn't contravene policy (i read the wording but I'm unsure).

I want to upload my photos so that
a) they can be viewed easily by family and friends
b) my family can download them all weekly off the server (for safe backup)

My questions are
1) is that (particularly point B) acceptable?
2) does anyone know of any simple software that simply displays what is in a designated directory on the server? - this is needed so I could upload the photos via my phone using a simple client without needing to use complex front end websites on my android phone

(point 2 is needed since I will be in africa where I will only have limited wifi and no laptop - complex sites won't run on my android)

You should be able to do that just fine, but a simple solution might be to use Dropbox instead. It has a nice Android app which auto uploads pictures taken. You can also put them in your public folder to share with family.

Just note galleries for free hosting users must remain at 1GB or under.
