Photoshop banner into picture file? PLEASE HELP ASAP!!!!

I made a banner using photoshop and need to know how to turn it into a file so it can be used as banners on forums. please help me asap. The first person to give me advice and it works will get credits!!!!!!!

Click the file menu then Save As/Save for Web Devices then save as a photo file.

it also depends if you want transparency or not

.jpg is best used for keeping gradients but does not have transparency, it also does have a good compression size
.gif tends to lose some detail on gradients, but has transparency, and has a small file size
.png is a mixture of them both, it was designed for the web. It has transparency, and it doesn't lose the gradients.

Go to save as.
Choose PNG
Save it as whatever
Upload png file to your website
