Greetings x10 Staff.

I would like just to know some features of the x10hosting about php and sql support.
(I can't see right now because the acc is suspended)

Well, we are trying to make a new version of our website, with new layout and more features.
Then, while looking at other sites, i founded a free 'program' that is called WordPress.

Then, they say that to install the WordPress, is needed PHP 4.2 (or greater) and MySQL 4.0 (or greater) as described in ( http://wordpress.org/about/requirements/ ).

Since there is no homesite of x10 saying which version is and the account is suspended until this week, i am asking here wich version is.

And if you use previous versions, do you have any intention of upgrading them?

Thank you very much

It would be allowed if it was your own recorded music and free stuff (like things with certain Creative Commons licenses), though, right?

I suppose so, but you are not allowed to run Radio Stations on x10Hosting's Servers. It would take up too much bandwidth.

My understanding is if it doesn't violate the copyright, and you can prove that it doesn't, then it'd be ok, but I'm not the one who should be answering that.

Wait for final approval from a mod/admin on that one :S

Edit: NM, see above post -_-'

Well, there is a bandwidth limit for free users? (Lol, noob question.but i'm new at the x10H.)

If there is, would be ok to use a radio blog, since the bandwidth would run out quick and the account would be suspended until next month, right?

There is, but if I recall properly it's pretty high up.

I think the advanced plan is 20gb :S

Also Listen pages?

And don't radio stations require extra programs on server (like shoutcast) to be installed by server admin?

Not at all.

Exist a flash script that creates a flash station in your site.
then, you upload the musics, and it runs it. So you dont need to download, it runs in cache.

Called RadioBlog if im not wrong.

Linking to listen other radios i think SHOULD be ok, since its just a link for a radio server. Will not use any bandwidth or host anything at x10 server. And since the radio isnt hosting any mp3, just playing it, isnt against the TOS linking to the radio, i believe.

If:

1) There is copyrighted music on the server ( a necessity for playing it), it is breaking the TOS
2) The copyrighted music is being played for anyone, you are breaking the TOS and the law. To listen, the music is downloaded to cache, thus to the computer.
3) There is a flash player, or a link, to copyrighted music anywhere else, you are breaking the TOS and possibly the law.

The way I see it is if you don't have illegal content on your account then you should be ok.

Any music/artwork/media that you create, is autmatically copyrighted to you upon creation, so therefore any music you create can be stored on your account. However you have to proove this to admins if they ask!

The flash player should play your music only, not illegal. There should also be NO links whatso ever to illegal content such as illegal MP3's, WAREZ, CRACKZ etc. These materials should not be stored on your account either!

I hope this clears up thing here!

Regards,
Zenax

Yes, I would have to agree with Zenax. Just a little thing to add would be if you DO create music and upload it to your site, convert it to like .ogg or something else. Because usually, when there are mp3s on a site, their believed to be illegal/copyrighted by someone other than yourself. So please just put it in a different format to divert confusion. ;)

#2 is not always true. You can sign up to legally broadcast music over the internet. Check out loudcity ... because that way, you are legal. You aren't uploading any music and are broadcasting legally.

( Just to let ya know )

Thats why yo check it and see if you ever heard it, do a Google, and if we can't find any information you can suspend, if it is theres we can just unsuspended it. Because if i had a copyright mp3 and covert it to '.ogg', it is pointless system.
