php gd2 extension

Is there a way to know if gd2 extension of php is on for the free hosting service. I have uploaded my bug tracker site which needs captcha for verification. Apparently the site is ok except for the captcha. So I'm assuming the gd2 extension is off or not present. Is there anyway to enable it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

GD works on the free servers.

Do you get error messages? No image produced?

You do have to use your own .ttf fonts.

You can also use extension_loaded to check for specific extensions.
