Hi and thanks for what seems to be a very promising FREE hosting service.
I had my php intermediate upgrade approved a couple of days ago but the upgrade is still depending. I asked for this because I believe phpBB requires it. Will it be long?
I'm having some problems and at the moment I'm wondering if it's going to be put right by the upgrade? Also, wondering if my decision to have a different username for the forum and cpanel account is causing a problem?
Problems:
1. phpBB3 install fails with "unable to connect to database, access denied" error. I've searched the forum and am pretty sure I'm using the correct database name, database server settings etc. I've also been following the threads about the recent mysql move and have added %.x10hosting.com and mysql.x10hosting.com to the remote sql servers list. I have repaired my database in cPanel. This seems like a permissions problem but I cannot seem to get phpmyadmin to work now. It has worked.
2. phpMyAdmin taking forever to load and not loading.
3. Fantastico not able to connect to database server. I had been interested to see if I could get phpBB2 to install via Fantastico.
I would be most grateful for any assitance you can offer.

I'm so dreadfully sorry. I've just had another rethink and realised I had missunderstood the mySQL database creation utility in cPanel. I had not associated a user with my database. I hadn't seen that I needed to do this as a separate process. oops!
My phpBB3 installation has worrked wonderfully.
