Hiya guys,

Iv just used Softaculous to install Zikula on my domain, installed well and all, I log into my admin area and get a this message, PHP 'magic_quotes_gpc' setting is ON, but should be OFF.

Iv looked on the internet how to fix this error but haven't had any luck.

If anyone here can give me any info how to resolve this error would help me so much.

Benn :)

Hello,

Other than changing the php configuration, there is little you can do, but as this is shared hosting that is not an option. You'll just have to ignore the error, as we do not adjust the configuration for individual requests.

Thanks.

It shouldn't drastically change the operation of the CMS, though. It should still work fine. You can probably disable the warning, too.

In cPanel/FileManager or FTP, in you Zikula install directory, find

system\Admin\pntemplates\admin_admin_securityanalyzer.htm

Make a backup of the file.

Then edit the original, around line 11:

Code:
<li><!--[gt text="PHP 'magic_quotes_gpc' setting is ON, but should be OFF." domain="zikula"]--></li>

remove the above and see if that works

If it breaks the script, edit back in or replace with the backup you made.
