Good Evening ~

I've been looking for a new host to export and re-import my phpbb forum, But when i've finished uploading all the files and databases, the only thing i get it's an General Error saying that ihe forum can't connect my OLD mysql database.

In case is some kind of error I've comitted, I'll explain all what I did right here:
1º First I get a copy of all my FTP account and Mysql Database of my old host.
2º Then, I modified the Databse to delete the data of the old host database (user, hostname...)
3º Then, I did the same in the config.php file of my phpbb forum and change that for the info of the database "just-created" on this hosting.
4º I imported my old database to the new one, without getting any kind of error.
5º I uploaded ALL of the files of the phpbb forum (with the config.php file and the new database data) to the public folder

If someone could help me out, I would appreciate that so highly.

Thanks for the attention ~

PD: If my english it's a bit rude or difficult to understad, I'm sorry, I'm spanish.

Remote mysql is not possible with our free hosting. Only localhost connections will work, so make sure your config.php on here is set to use localhost for the mysql connetion.

I changed the $dbhost to "localhost" and the General Error with my old connection keeps standing... (The rest of the info are the ones of the x10.hosting database)

I took a look at the files on your account, the first issue I found was that all permissions were set wrong, in general folders should have 755 and files 644, I have corrected this for you.

I next searched on your files for where that connection attempt came from, and apparently phpbb does put those things in the cache folder as well, so I cleared that one for you (I run phpbb myself so I know which ones were safe to clear) and now it appears your forum works correctly.
