PHPBB is Really Slow

I've finally got phpBB working on my website but for some reason it's really slow compared to my old Proboards forums. Why is it that my phpBB is slow but the website is really fast? The forum can be found at http://www.halonirvana.com/forum. What is wrong with it and why is it so slow?

Did you install any mods?

When you have finished working on it will my phpBB be faster or as fast as my Proboards forum? It's just that the people on my forum have been using Proboards for over a year and now I've made everyone move to phpBB so I don't think they'll be very happy if I need to destroy phpBB because it is too slow and go back to Proboards.

It should pick up speed. Weather its as fast or faster than the other script will have to be seen when the server isn't having issues.
