Ok I'm pretty sure this is a really noob question, so noob I cannot find support on any forums anywhere, so please forgive my ignorance.

Currently I've installed my phpBB3 forum successfully and I can access the ACP fine.

The install directory is /public_html/phpBB3
The URL is http://www.mydomain.x10hosting.com/phpBB3

How do i go about changing the url from the default to say: http://www.mydomain.x10hosting.com/forum

Thanks guys.

The most straight forward way of doing that would have been to install it in the folder named "forum" instead of "phpBB3". I guess you could put a "index.html" file in the forum directory and then set it up to redirect to the phpBB3 directory, but Google does not really like redirects so you would have to consider that. The only other thing I can think of would be to completely uninstall it and then reinstall in the forum directory. Or, perhaps, somebody here will think of another option in a little while.

Yeah I was hoping I wouldn't have to do that...looks like I'll have to reinstall/upload everything again.

Oh well, all part of the learning curve.

Thanks for your help.
