  • The Database Type - the database you will be using.
  • The Database server hostname or DSN - the address of the database server.
  • The Database server port - the port of the database server (most of the time this is not needed).
  • The Database name - the name of the database on the server.
  • The Database username and Database password - the login data to access the database.
I need this information. Anyone Know how to obtain it, or know it?

  • The Database Type - the database you will be using. I think it is "MySQLi"
  • The Database server hostname or DSN - the address of the database server. Localhost
  • The Database server port - the port of the database server (most of the time this is not needed). leave empty
  • The Database name - the name of the database on the server. You need to create a database in the cPanel
  • The Database username and Database password - the login data to access the database. Also make in cPanel and attach it to the database

  • The Database Type - You can leave it alone
  • The Database server hostname or DSN - localhost
  • The Database server port - leave blank
  • The Database name - cpanel_name Replace cpanel with your cpanel name _ and the name of the database you called
  • The Database username and Database password - cpanel_user & password Replace with cpanel with your cpanel and the user you selected as user when you created user name. Password is created for cpanel_user

Cpanel skin may be different from yours, but the process is the same.

OK I Created Two DB - Blockis2_php and Blockis2_user I entered them into the boxes, but it says:

Could not connect to the database, see error message below.
Access denied for user 'blockis2_user'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

Any ideas?

It's not 2 DB -- Just one. It's a database table w/ user assigning to read that database.

Database Name is blockis2_php
Database username: blockis2_user
database password: is whatever you set it to
