Reasons:

-Good support
-Great modifications
-Great features
-More users will know how do use it.

mybb is nice, phpbb is definitely a contender to any forum software, been around forever, good developers, and the best thing is the price tag hasnt changed (the could easily charge for this software, but they dont)

I'm looking into embedding one of these into my website (pending my php upgrade), is either one of these options better for that? I'd basically like to keep my webpage top frame in view at all times with the message board hanging out in the bottom.

Are there any pros/cons for either of these?
